Tchaikovsky’s gift to world

(MENAFN) As a consequence of ‘The Nutcracker’, this Russian songwriter gave the world a number of its most cherished Christmas tunes. When he got introduced to Western audiences by his showman Sergey Diaghilev, who also brought Russian ballet to the world stage, shows filled theaters. Even people who are not fans and didn’t know much about him, they would still know the thrilling beginning chords of his ‘Piano Concerto No. 1’. His ‘Swan Lake’ became a surprising icon of the 1991 August Coup that indicated the Soviet Union’s falling.

A high class person who had his difficulties with his own desires, a man of deep sentiment known to companions as possessing a “glass soul.” In addition, he made some of the most considerable divine music in the Russian Orthodox tradition.

Recalled his brother Modest “In daily life, people were drawn to him because they could feel how deeply he cared,” adding that “he was so sensitive that the slightest thing could hurt him. He was like a child made of glass.”
