Stabbing in S. Korea Leaves Two Dead; Assailant Flees
The initial incident occurred at approximately 9:34 a.m. local time (0034 GMT) in Siheung, located about 30 km southwest of Seoul, where a woman in her sixties was stabbed at a convenience store. She was rushed to a hospital with severe stab wounds to her abdomen and face.
Following the initial attack, authorities identified the suspect, a man in his fifties, and located his vehicle and home. Inside his residence, police discovered an unidentified body that appeared to have been deceased for several days.
The violence continued hours later at around 1:21 p.m. local time (0421 GMT) at a sports park situated approximately 2 km from the convenience store. There, the suspect allegedly stabbed a man in his seventies, inflicting serious abdominal injuries. The injured man was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The grim discoveries continued as police found another unidentified body at around 2:00 p.m. local time (0500 GMT) in a house located across from the convenience store.
Currently, detectives have been deployed to locate and apprehend the suspect, whose whereabouts are unknown.
