Lebanon Actively Seeks Finnish Investment: President Aoun
According to a Lebanese news outlet, Aoun stated, "Opportunities are wide open," emphasizing that the country is moving toward a phase "much better than previous months."
The Lebanese leader reiterated his government's commitment to pushing forward national reforms, maintaining the presence of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in the southern region, and staunchly backing the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative.
Highlighting Finland’s critical contribution to UNIFIL, Aoun condemned Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza and called for an immediate resolution to the escalating crisis.
Meanwhile, Valtonen highlighted the robust relationship between Lebanon and Finland, expressed Finland’s eagerness to expand cooperation across all fields, and extended an official invitation to both Aoun and Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji to visit Finland, as reported by the news outlet.
