Lee Jae-myung Holds Lead Ahead of Presidential Election
The survey, conducted by Realmeter and cited by a news agency, reveals that the Democratic Party (DP) nominee commands 49.2 percent support among participants.
Trailing behind is Kim Moon-soo, a former Minister of Labor and the candidate representing the ruling People Power Party (PPP), who secured 36.8 percent in the same poll.
Meanwhile, Lee Jun-seok from the New Reform Party ranks third with 10.3 percent backing.
The poll results arrive just before a two-day early voting window scheduled to commence on Thursday.
This unexpected election was triggered by the dismissal of President Yoon Suk Yeol, who was ousted from office on April 4 following a failed attempt to impose martial law in December.
