Trump Grants Pardon to Reality TV Stars

(MENAFN) United States Leader Donald Trump is set to pardon reality television personalities Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud.

This information was revealed in a video shared on Tuesday by Trump’s communications adviser, Margo Martin, on the social media platform X.

The video captures Trump speaking with the couple’s daughter, Savannah, to notify her about his decision.

Savannah had actively advocated for her parents’ pardon and even addressed the 2024 Republican National Convention in their support.

Todd and Julie Chrisley, famous for their reality show Chrisley Knows Best, were sentenced in 2022 to a total of 19 years behind bars and were ordered to repay USD17.8 million in restitution.

According to a statement cited by multiple American news outlets, Deputy White House press secretary Harrison Fields expressed that Trump felt the couple had been “unfairly targeted” and was “pleased to give well-deserving Americans a second chance.”
