“Instead of continuing to support a dysfunctional Knesset, we call on everyone to support the proposal of dissolving the Knesset, which will be presented next Wednesday, and to go to the polls as soon as possible,” the statement said.
The report noted that the governing coalition has withdrawn all bills from Monday’s agenda ahead of the anticipated vote.
While the exact timeline remains uncertain, the proposal is expected to move through the legislative process quickly if it passes its initial reading. It would then go to committee review before undergoing three further plenary readings to become law.
If approved, the dissolution would trigger early elections unless voting is held on the originally scheduled date of October 27, when the current Knesset’s term is set to expire.
